I read today about Dorothy the Chimpanzee. She was orphaned years ago when hunters killed her mother and was taken in by a wildlife refuge and in turn she helped raise other orphaned chimps over her amazing life. Dorothy was 40 when she died and this photo below shows the deep mourning and grief that her chimpanzee family has for her. She is about to be buried in this photo. The intense look on the chimpanzees is heart breaking. Animals are incredible and deserve our respect and we in turn need to ensure they are not hunted and they are protected. We owe them that much.
